DIANNE PLATT LEVINE
Health and Wellness Consultant / Holistic Nutrition / Yoga Therapy / Craniosacral Therapy
Dianne is a Certified Yoga Therapist and Craniosacral Therapist, a registered Holistic Nutritionist, and a retired ICU Nurse!
Dianne has always been interested in preventative health and well-being and when looking for a change, she naturally followed her instincts to nutrition and yoga. Now, as a graduate with first class honours from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, a certified yoga instructor, and a certified yoga therapist (Toronto and India), Dianne continues to study and practice yoga therapy--which includes Ayurveda, the sister science to yoga--homeopathy, craniosacral therapy, and anything and everything related to energy medicine to heal the body, mind, and spirit.
As a health care practitioner, Dianne's goal is to empower the individual through awareness, helping to heal them with nutritional support, guidance, and tools from yoga therapy, Ayurveda, and craniosacral therapy that assist the individual in adapting to lifestyle changes and bring the body back to homeostasis, or balance.
In addition to private practice, service in the community is very important to Dianne. She guides sessions in downtown Toronto at the St. Felix Centre and Gilda's Club, in Haliburton at the Abbey Retreat Centre, and at various locations and retreats with the March of Dimes. Dianne is the holistic nutritionist at Moksha Yoga Uptown at Yonge and St. Clair, and, at the request of Lululemon, has facilitated yoga sessions at Matthew House, a refugee centre in Toronto.
When not working, Dianne enjoys time with her growing family on the ski hills and biking and paddle boarding at the cottage, enjoying lots of good food with friends, and growing her garden.

Awaken your senses and experience awareness through yoga therapy, a blend of mindful movement, breath, sound, and guided meditation. Yoga therapy will help you to find relaxation, improved energy, relief from pain and discomfort, and a way to cope with everyday stresses; it will help you progress to balance, strength, and general wellbeing, essentially working to heal physically and mentally from within. Yoga therapy is an inherently holistic approach, combined with Ayurveda, and works to strengthen various systems in the body, providing a personal practice for the individual.
HOLISTIC NUTRITION CONSULTING
Holistic nutrition is a natural approach to health that focuses on positive diet and lifestyle changes, often incorporating supplements as well.
Instead of honing in on just one aspect of a person, or taking a one-size-fits-all approach, holistic nutrition evaluates the complete health history, emotional state, lifestyle habits, and current diet habits of an individual to determine the root cause(s) of his or her health issues.
One-on-one nutrition sessions are available upon request!
Craniosacral therapy (also called CST or cranial osteopathy) is a gentle, non-invasive, hands-on technique based on understanding the continuous subtle movements of the cranial bones.
By using the hands as tools, craniosacral therapists are able to detect disturbances in the cranial sacral rhythm to help them identify areas of dysfunction and restriction in the client's body.
CST helps restore normal cranial mobility, releases abnormal restrictions and tensions in the body, eases restrictions of nerves, and more!
Dianne’s guidance was a critical component in my success. While the numbers say I’ve lost 150 pounds, what is much more important is that I’ve found a way to sustain that loss, I’ve found a healthy way of eating to support my lifestyle, and most recently I’ve found a place for mindfulness through Karate – a sport I’ve just taken up in the last month.
Thank you Dianne for all the support you’ve provided me this past year. I look forward to continuing to work together for years to come - M
As a 60 year old female suffering with low thyroid and depression Dianne has changed my life and I feel great with new found energy! I started drinking my lemon water and made small adjustments to my diet and in a couple of weeks I have lost 5 pounds! I am now weaning off my anti- depressant medication. Thank you Dianne for your support and guidance - M.F.
Dianne graciously donated her time this summer to run a Therapeutic Yoga and Gentle Breathing class at our new Abbey Retreat Centre in Haliburton. At our first meeting, she emphatically declared that she wanted to provide an accessible yoga class that we could offer to everyone. That is exactly what she did . . . Dianne is extremely knowledgeable. . ,but it is her giving spirit and genuine care for others that shines through - Heather Fields, ARC
